Aria

Aria Martinelli is a Brooklyn-based actor and cross-disciplinary artist whose work spans stage, page, and lens.

She has studied acting and performance creation at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The British American Drama Academy, Atlantic Acting School, École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, and Smith and Amherst Colleges.

Aria has also trained with members of the Complicité Theater Company in London and France and participated in workshops with Action Theater in NYC. Her coaching includes work with Jonathan Broadbent, Ezra Barnes, Yasuyo Mochizuki, François Lecomte, and Leo Wringer.

Notable collaborations include working with Cameron Bossert, director of Thirdwing Theater Company, in the production of United Nations: Tribes, and more recently, with Anne Kaufman on the pre-production of the musical The Bedwetters by Sarah Silverman.

Fluent in Italian and Spanish, Aria is passionate about working on international creative projects and exploring performance across languages and cultures. Her artistic interests also extend to playwriting, photojournalism, and documentary filmmaking.

Aria holds a B.A. in Theater from Smith College, with a minor in Political Science and a concentration in Journalism.
